Patients, visitors and staff used the new enclosed and climate-controlled pedestrian concourse connecting Duke Hospital and Duke Clinic for the first time on Nov. 1. The new walkway runs along the back of Duke Hospital on Level 3, past the Duke Medicine Pavilion, and continues onto Level 2 of the Duke Clinic. Staff have been posted along the concourse to answer questions and help guide people through the new space.

The big, bright windows along the new concourse bring in lots of natural light and offer outstanding views of the medical campus. This section of the concourse is the bridge between Duke Clinic and the new Duke Medicine Pavilion. The view through the windows is of the School of Medicine Learning Center construction site.
