The Triangle region of North Carolina is one of the fastest growing areas in the nation, and Duke Medicine is growing right along with it.
Current construction activities and recently completed projects are helping Duke Medicine create and improve facilities in which we provide our world-class care.
Construction activities include:
- A new 267,000-square-foot patient-centered comprehensive ambulatory Cancer Center is scheduled to be completed in February 2012.
- The Duke Medicine Pavilion, a modernization and expansion of Duke University Hospital’s critical care, surgery and state-of-the-art imaging facilities, is scheduled to be completed in mid-2013.
- A Learning Center will establish the first new home for medical student education since classes began in the Davison Building in 1930, and will provide students with the latest in educational technologies and a team-based learning design.
This archive will serve as a repository of information about completed construction projects. Most recently, the historic Historic Bell Building has been retired and taken down to make way for the Cancer Center and Duke Medicine Pavilion buildings.
